About Home Harvest Network

Building a stronger local food system from the ground up.

Home Harvest Network was created to connect household growers with structured markets while helping communities generate sustainable income from underutilised spaces.

We believe local food systems should be more accessible, more transparent, and more empowering for the people who produce the food we eat.

Why we started

Across South Africa, thousands of households already grow food informally, yet most have no reliable access to structured markets or consistent buyers.

At the same time, restaurants, schools, grocers, and households are increasingly searching for fresh, locally sourced produce with transparent origins.

Home Harvest Network was built to bridge that gap — coordinating growers, organising harvests, and creating a reliable supply network that benefits both producers and buyers.

What we believe

Our approach is grounded in community, transparency, and practical systems that create long-term value for growers and buyers alike.

Local first

We believe stronger communities begin with stronger local food systems and local economic participation.

Transparent supply

We aim to create a traceable supply chain where buyers know where produce comes from and growers are fairly recognised.

Shared growth

Home Harvest Network is designed to create sustainable opportunities for both household growers and commercial buyers through coordinated supply.

Our vision

We are building a scalable, community-driven agricultural network that starts in KwaZulu-Natal and Western Cape and grows through structured local partnerships.

Starting locally

Home Harvest Network is launching in KwaZulu-Natal and Western Cape by building partnerships with local growers, households, and small businesses.

Creating structured supply

We coordinate growers into organised supply clusters capable of serving both subscription households and commercial buyers.

Expanding opportunities

Over time, Home Harvest Network aims to support more growers, more delivery zones, and stronger local economic participation across South Africa.
